Scott Jacobs founded Motorcar Makeovers in 1995. After working through college, primarily in the automotive industry, Scott was able to achieve a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, (Magna Cum Laude) and a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing (Magna Cum Laude) in 1993 from Beaver College (Arcadia University).

​Scott then enrolled in Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science's (now Philadelphia University) MBA program. Halfway through the program, the decision to gain real world experience became more enticing to Scott. After re-examining various business techniques and models, achieving ASE certification as a Technician, Service Consultant and Parts Specialist, and saving up as much money as possible, the development of Motorcar Makeovers became his top priority. While concentrating on the growth of any small business in America, tireless hours and days turned into months and years.

Looking back, Scott refers to the conception of Motorcar Makeovers as the best decision he has ever made. “I’ve met thousands of people and learned countless lessons from everyone I have come in contact with, from customers to employees to vendors and suppliers,” quipped Scott. “I owe all of my success to them. I’ve vowed to consistently be available to everyone, and will always be at the shop until I physically cannot make it out of bed. This is my life's work! I continually strive to make the shop better, and will continue to surround myself among those who can contribute to the shop’s success.”

Sindy Jacobs
Administration

Sindy Jacobs joined Motorcar Makeovers in January of 2001. After years of experience at her father’s body shop, Alan’s Collision in Montgomeryville, PA, Sindy already possessed the necessary skills to run the front office at Motorcar Makeovers.

​Quickly, we learned that Sindy could not only improve the efficiency of the accounting and paperwork, but also thrived in various other areas of the business. Sindy brings stability to the lobby area and is able to excel in the most integral part of our business – customer service. It is Sindy that you will speak to on the phone 95% of the time and ALL customers are treated with respect and personalized attention.

Without her talents we never would have been able to grow in the manner that we did. Like many small businesses there are vital key people that provide the opportunity to maintain and grow. Sindy inspires us to achieve our goals and exceed our customers' expectations.

Mike Montminy

 Mike Montminy is a bright new star on the Motorcar Makeovers team. A seriously talented, hard working mechanic, Mike has extensive experience repairing and maintaining European cars and light trucks.  He has vast experience with BMW, and boasts factory training and certification. 

​We are very happy that he has joined our family, and we are extremely proud to  provide our customers and their vehicles with another facet of automobile repair that we can utilize to better service your needs.

Rick Foschini

Rick Foschini joined the team at Motorcar Makeovers in August of 2014. He has been a welcome addition from the very start. Rick has a degree from the Automotive Training Center, where he majored in machine shop technology.

Rick has been working on cars and trucks for more than 25 years, repairing and maintaining both foreign and domestic vehicles. His well rounded skills are invaluable assets to our team. Rick enjoys football, golf and anything outdoors with his dog Guiness when he's not working on cars.

​Ivens Perez

Iven Perez came to this country as a young man, learned English, and found his love for cars. Over the years, he has mastered auto repair, customer service, and continues to challenge himself with his skills. A true professional and very passionate auto technician. 

Chase Jacobs

Chase Jacobs is a finance major at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh.

​Following in his father's footsteps, his love of cars and business keeps him at the shop during his summer months. 

Robert Schlear

Robert earned his Auto Technician designation from  the North Montco Technical Career Center in accordance with ASE/NATEF and AYES standards, through their rigorous the Automotive Technology program.

He's been working at Motorcar Makeovers since 2021 and absolutely loves getting in to middle of the action. In fact his work bay and bright blue Snap-On tool chest is right in the middle of the shop... You can't miss it!

When Robert is not turning wrenches and solving challenging automotive issues, he's out at sea at the Jersey Shore ...saltwater fishing.  

Mike Freedman
​Detailing Shop

Mike Freedman has been detailing cars, trucks, motorcycles and all things with wheels for over 15 years. 

Mike firmly believes in doing everything right the first time. He is meticulous about  all the details. "Every car should come out better than showroom new."

Mike's a new dad (again) and professes that every family deserves a beautiful car.
